What if we could redefine our approach to project completion, offering an early start with half of the main structure and programs, rather than waiting for a prolonged period to utilize the entire space? In the context of Ghana’s hot and humid climate, by strategically cutting programs in half and utilizing dry branches to create partitions for walls not directly exposed to sunlight and prevailing wind, the project optimizes the limited budget. The primary focus is on allocating resources to construct the main frame and solid walls for half of all spaces, while the remaining areas can be completed with the active involvement of students and residents. By simply fastening wood branches together, partitions can be easily created and adjusted to suit specific needs. These modular partitions can also be relocated or repurposed for roof shading, as they share a common module and size.
